In early March of 2020, I received a call from a set dresser that I worked with at The Real who told me she was offered the job as Prop Master on Let’s Make a Deal and wanted to bring me in as her assistant, earning me my union days in full. As you may have guessed with the timing of this call, I had to wait nearly seven months to start working this job.

This job truly confirmed my adoration for the prop department. As a PA, there are many limitations to what you are actually allowed to assist with, so joining the union gave me a great amount of freedom and the ability to literally handle props on set. I became the graphics girl on this show, which was kind of like the second half of what I did at The Real, where I now receive the printed graphics and transform them into whatever prop they are made to be (like a magazine cover, or mini envelope, or giant pop corn box.)

I gained experience reading scripts, speaking with producers, pitching ideas, and making lots and lot of cool stuff!
